Review
OMG that was good. That ending was insane!
I'll admit, when I started this series, I did not think I would get through it. Heck, when I started the first book, I didn't think I would get through it.
But people kept telling me, once you've read the first three, they are super addictive. I'm seeing that now with book four.
First, the stakes are higher. It's not just Zoey and her friends, or even her school. This is everyone at risk.
When Neferet brought Kalona back, she unleashed real evil on everyone. It isn't just a vampire battle anymore. Now there are churches and nuns and people of all faiths involved.
Of all the characters, Aphrodite is maturing the most. I think humanity is good for her. It brought her down to everyone else's level. She has a "flaw" now. I think she is growing kinder, even if she doesn't want to admit it, and now she knows she needs people and people need her. I think there latter is more important. She has a role to play.
For once Zoey is single and her character actually did more, I think, because of it. She didn't have a boyfriend to worry about. Or boyfriends, rather.
I'm glad she got her friends back.
